The course is intended to ensure that trainees are competent to apply effective leadership and teamwork principles on board ship, including clear communication, decision-making, workload management, and cooperation between bridge and engine-room teams, in order to promote safe operations and efficient performance in both normal and emergency situations, in accordance with the STCW Code, 1978, as amended.
