Course Overview

The course is intended to ensure that trainees are competent to safely operate and monitor high-voltage electrical installations at the operational level, including understanding system layouts, applying safe working practices, carrying out routine operations and inspections, responding to faults and emergencies, and complying with relevant safety procedures

Prerequisites
• The trainee must be in possession of a Certificate of Competence as Engineer Officer, Electro-Technical Officer or apprentice (cadet) aspiring to be an Engineer Officer or Electrotechnical Officer with a with a minimum period of six (6) months of sea service. The sea service must be stamped on the seaman´s book and or on the company letters duly letterhead detailing ship’s particulars (IMO NUMBER, CALL SIGN, TYPE OF VESSEL, GROSS TONNAGE, and PROPULSION POWER).
